Becoming a fat nation

According to surveys , 61 percent of Americans, or 127 milion people, are obese. The U.S governament is worried because to much weight contributes to diabets, heart diase, and other ilnesses.
Some people blame the food industry and advertisers for the nation's weight problem. They say food makers want people to eat when they're not hungry and keep eating when they're full.
But food manufactures say it's not their fault that many Americans are overweight. People can choose what they want to eat. They point out that supermarkets in the United States offer a lot of  choices, including low-calorie, fat-free ,and sugar-free foods.Advertisers say it's not their fault either. More money is spent on marketing low-calorie and fat-free foods than any other foods...
